2000 bug sunroof will not open
 I have a 2000 bug and my sunroof will not open. Last summer it stopped working while it was open and it ended up raining that night on a random summer night. We looked in the manual to see how to manually crank it shut and now that its almost summer time here again it is getting extremely hot in the car...I need it to work. Also last summer i had the same problem for about 6 months in the winter and then one day i just happened to try it and it worked... so for the next 6 months it worked and now it doesn’t again... I have looked in the manual and asked other VW dealers and mechanics and they don’t know. Just wondering if anyone has any ideas or solutions. thank you much.
