Default 99 Beetle stalls when applying brakes

Hello everyone, yesterday I changed the rotors and pads in my wifes car. Afer the install I wanted to bleed the brakes. With the engine running I pumped the brakes and the engine stalled each time.

I was told there may be a vac hose that came lose when I took the brake res cap off to releave pressure.

Any ideas????
