Default interior lights 2006, New Beetle convertible

Hello,
My 2006 New Beetle Convert. has ZERO interior lights. They worked perfectly up until I put it into storage for the winter. I had it covered in my hanger until this last week and now no interior lights. I checked all fuses, bulbs, and everything I could put a meter on. ZERO. No lights from either door when opened, nothing. Had an issue with the top not working as well but wiggled the connection .at the control in the trunk and it worked fine.
My thoughts are a relay that may have a bad contact or something, but can't locate anything else to check.
Need some guidance here.
thanks

Vic

Your best bet is to post over at newbeetle.org.

Do the lights come on when you use the fob to unlock the car?
