Replace bulb rear parking light

How do I replace the bulb in the rear bumper parking light?

Assuming VW did the same thing with the new beetle as they did with the Golf/Jetta, there will be a velcro "door" covering the back of your taillight in your trunk. Undo this, there should be a plastic holder that unclips that contains all the rear taillight bulbs. Twist it out, put in new one

Thanks for the help bit the beetles bumper is well below the boot. I can get behind the light assembly but am unsure if or how to unclip so that I can get to the bulb. helpfully the manual doesn't comment on any of this.
