Default Replaced A/C Compressor - Blower Motor Now Dead ???

2000 Beetle GLS, 2.0 motor. I had an A/C compressor that was working fine but making a loud knocking noise. Yesterday I replaced the compressor. The only thing I did while in there was disconnect the battery, remove the alternator and then change out the compressor. The only thing done electrically was to unplug the compressor, alternator and disconnect the battery.

After installing the new compressor and buttoning everything back up, the blower motor and of course A/C does not work. Every other electrical accessory on the car works just fine. We checked every single fuse in the car and could find no problem.

Anyone have any idea how I lost the blower motor and A/C while swapping out compressors??? Does something need to be reset ?

Check the fuses first, but when I lost my blower motor it was the switch, you should still have a blower regardless of AC or not. I had to remove the radio and the dash covers to get to the switch wires and jumped them to prove it was the switch. Might just be a coincidence that you lost it at the same time. Just my 2cents. (my beetle's AC compressor did the knocking then died too)
