Default Winter Slippers on their way

So winter will be here before you know it and as noted in the other thread I was in the market to get a set of winter wheels. I decided to go with the TOCATTA's. 17x7's & they most likely will be wrapped in Blizzaks. YBH VW/Audi was able to hook me up with a great price since VW is discontinuing this wheel. I'll be sure to post pics once the 4MO is all winterized.

No chrome for winter silly, actually debated powder coating them black but probably won't stick that additional cost into a winter wheel.

I wish they were the same offset for my car. I like that wheel alot. Plus only chunky 5 poke wheels look good on 6's.

I like 'em.

All I can say is that I'm lucky I live in the South. These "Winter Wheels" that you speak of are not needed around here. Besides, winter wheels & tires would take all of the fun out of the evening news when everyone panics in a ballet of spinning sheet metal and extended middle fingers on their way to the grocery stores for bread and milk when the weatherman mentions there may be a slight chance of frost in the morning (not even snow or ice). The one time every winter when that happens.

And that is the supermarket employee's nightmare. I worked at a supermarket last winter and as soon as snow was mentioned everyone hoarded the eggs, bread and milk and then complained to me that we were out. Then as I leave all the soccer mom's in their SUVs tailgate me in the snow while I am engine braking. I hope they run into me one day, Mmmmm.... euro trunk.

There in...will be wrapped soon. Special thanks to Bill at YBH for the hook up! They have the Audi rings, I may search around on eBay for a set of VW decals (since thats all they are) and swap out. VW direct wan't like $60+ for a set of new center caps.
