92 VR6 Ignition issues i think?
Hi,
Im new to the forums, and i had some questions and wondered if there were any solutions that some of you other enthusiasts may have encountered.
In as much detail as i can, here is the problem.
At first the car will crank up easily, it misfires but still runs acceptably. After about 15 min sometimes even less, the engine sounds like it sputters, more of a jumping throttle low then high then dead. After this point it takes about 30 min of down time before it will allow it to start again, but the problems repeat. I have replaced the plugs, wires cap rotor thinking it was a simple fix but to no avail. Should i go higher and replace the actual ignition itself? Oh and a side note, when i replaced the original rotor i found it literally fused to the center shaft. I had to chip away the ceramic rotor and clean it before replacing it entirely. Please help!
