With infinite amounts of money, you will get more power out of the VR6. Though, given that the G60 is forced induction, cheaper mods can get it up past that 200hp mark quicker that the VR6. With either one, if your looking for 250+, it's going to hurt the wallet. As mentioned before, they are both great engines, ad you would be happy with either.

I think you would be happy with either engine. You have to look long term. The G60 charger will cost you a smooth $1000 to have rebuilt when it goes bad. You can of course always run without it, but then you just have a simple 8v. The vr6 can get $$ when you want to do mods to it. If you look at things like autocrossing, the g60 is better because of the weight factor. The vr6 is just heavy.

emily raises a good point here about the VR6 being heavier than the G60...however the G60 is notorious for problems with the s/c....but thats a risk id gladly take for some good old fashioned forced induction...whichever choice you make, just be glad you are rolling IMO the coolest V-Dub ever produced...happy dubbing

I found it on ebay. Im going down to san diego this week. If he doesn't sell it im going to take a look at it. Is there any thing special that the corrado is notorious for like: rust, bad seals, or anything? Thanks alot, I appreciate the replies. |

Sometimes they have the electrical gremlins and some thing won't work...ie the sunroof or power windows. Check to see if it has been hit before or not. It says a clean title in the description (quickly glancing at it), but it doesn't say if it was in an accident.
It is has more miles then some....try to see if there are any records or anyway to contact previous owners and see what work has been done...ie timing belt ect. If nothing was done that is just an added expense for you. |

Vr6 is my preference ..yeah it's pricey but damn it's worth it.My car right now with the few engine mods i have tops out around 160 thats before i use nitrous.I'm actually looking into getting a new tranny with longer gears tho

160? u sure? u would have to have some serious engine work to accomplish that. stock g60 will hit like 133 or something. vr6 stock will hit clost to 140. but all of that depends on the car and what it can handle. o and the vr6 will get there faster too! go vr6 if you want stock speed and few mods to make it faster. go g60 if you want to get it over 200 hp cheaper as someone else said.

Oh yeah i'm sure.I had a friend of mine with a 2003 Bmw M3 drive along side of me and when we got to 160 I hit the nitrous it was really his idea, I dont prefer to go that fast, but it was that one time so no big deal

if i had to get one all over again it would definitley be vr6. but you just have to know what your getting into with these cars. they will do things to piss you off and they play mind games with you but they are by far worth it. to give you an idea of the money situation. i bout my 93 SLC a little over 2 years ago for about 9,000, perfect condition with 94,000 miles. now i put about 3/4 as much $ into fixing the car what i paid for it. the other 1/4 was mods. my old differential blew through the tranny casing like 3 weeks after i bought the car. so while i had the tranny out my friend did a LSD and an ACT clutch install for free. but the car sat outside my house for 2 months before i could get money to fix it! i just sat there and looked at it wishing i could drive it. anyways im not trying to steer you the wrong way, the more people with C's the better, just look at everything on the car and make sure its worth buying.
