Default Oxegen sensor help!

Okay I messed up...

I put in an Air/Fuel gauge (autometer) in the 'rado. I had to disconnect the wires going from the ECU (to the O2 sensor) in order to attach the air/fuel tap line to the signal wire. I heard a "snap" or something like that when I disconnected it. When I started the 'rado, the 'rado now has a problem idling.

Can I reset the ECU somehow without a VAG computer? or does it look like I might need to replace the O2 sensor?

thanks in advance
