Default what to buy, what to buy?

finally getting some money, so its time to choose what im going to buy.... either some springs to already go with my bilstein shocks and struts, or should i spend the money on the sweet DDI gauges that are white and red? if you're not familar with the gauges, check them out... http://www.dubdesignindustries.com/c...roducts_id=140

thanks for the input...

Well for starters shocks and struts are the same thing. And just because you have bilstines doesn't mean they are made to be lowered. They are most likely stock replacements. SO, save you money, fuck the guages, you have nothing for the guages to monitor.

Save your money and do a real mod. Full suspension, or exhaust, or wheels or something worth while

Shocks in back, struts in front. He's right, and you're sill an asshole

I'd buy springs. Kinda depends on what color your Bilstein bodies are.

If your splitting hairs yes, but nobody every says I got a shock/strut/sping setup. Or a cupkit includes struts/shocks/and spring...

I was just saying, they are interchangeable in conversation...
And I'll always be an asshole

it depends on what all you want steve. but i have to agree with dakoda here. the gauges are a waste of money at this moment. You also told me earlier that you didnt want springs. But most of all you should either put it towards lowering your car or getting an exhaust. Then save up the money and we'll get ahold of my uncle and get those fenders fixed. I cant wait to see this car running right. It's going to be sweet

a cup kit includes the shocks struts and springs, since i already have the shocks and struts, all i would need for a complete cup kit would be the springs... so i would buy them.... does that make it clearer? and the gauges are they lay over of the normal stock ones... thats why i put the link up...

I would love to meet these people that say that you do not need chains. I have asked everyone one up front in service, and none of them say that they told you the chains were ok. And if you are believing a sales person about mechanicals of an engine, then you need your ass beat. As far as I'm aware of, every time that car has been in the shop either myself or Chris White have worked on it. And I know that I didn't say that is wasn't the chains, and I doubt it was Chris. Because every time your car comes in we talk about how you are going to be without a car and with a large hole in your pocket one day. And back to the service advisors, if one of them did tell you this, please let me know who it was so i can beat them for diagnosing the car (thats the tech's job).

So after this long winded paragraph, my vote goes with Garrett's and the timing chains.

Maybe there should be a poll about Steve should learn to spell "Garrett"

How are you going to delete the best thread of my life B?

Chains or save it for a new motor.

Sorry Dakoda...I have to say, I didn't even read it.
Oh and I added chains to the poll. My take on it is this:
if your car is more in need of a maintenance mod, it's better to keep your engine and car running with the (preventative) maintenance. You will end up paying more for fixing it later if you don't.
