about to buy a squareback
im about to buy a squareback. its a 1600 fi auto car. ive seen the pics and am sold because the price is right. anyway im having a hard time finding places i can get parts for the vehicle. can anyone steer me in the right direction. also want to know if the bug or bus tranny will bolt to it so i can ditch the auto

I THINK the type1 tranny will work - but if not then a Bus tranny will - if it was a T4 (411, 412) then I'm pretty sure you'd need to use a bus tranny - you'll have to change the pedals, install the shifter linkage (may or may not be the same as a bug - can't recall - it's been about 30 years since I worked on a T3) and do some other stuff -
