You can get straps to pull and mount them on the exposed metal part of the door. if you try and mount to the door panel without bracing it you will just end up pulling the panel off Look into getting OE and the extra mount to put behind the panel

Like Derf states it is best to get an original handle including the steel strap you do not see that hooks to the hook on the inner door panel. CIP1 used to sell them. Even screwed to the innde door panel, self tapping screws will loosen and pull out. Cry once go OEM.

The sheet metal screws will come undone even faster in a Baja. To make it work locate the holes. Then weld a nut onto a large fender washer. drill 3 or four holes equidistant in the washers perimeter and plug weld them to the inner door panel. Washers and a dab of low strength loctite will keepmit in place until you decide to undo it. Nothing uglier than a nice semi circle scrape in a door panel from a half attached door pull. Granted it is a lot of work compared to using sheet metal scews but it should hold up to any abuse you can give it.

Just use the door handle or open the vent and pull on the divider bar. You can't put anything on the door panel without attaching it to the door solid. It will just pull the panel off as it is just push in clips that hold it unless you don't have stock panels.

Go to ACE Hardware and get a nut sert tool. You drill a hole in the metal and this tool installs a nut in the metal that is permanent. They have different sizes.
Then you can get one of those strap pulls
