Default fuel system/lines

how involved is replacing all the fuel lines in a 66' baja??

If you are talking of just the fabric lines,no big deal. There is a piece about 6-8" under the tank, a piece about 16" inches from the tunnel to engine and a small piece to fuel pump and from the fuel pump to carb. Some recommend that a filter is put in the line from the tunnel to engine and get it out of engine area if it is there.

what if they are not the fabric lines? it ha braided under the tank and at the pump, i'm not sure about the tunnel though. how do i get to the peice that's in the there????

Braided/fabric the same.
The metal line(thru the tunnel/chassis) comes out of the tunnel underneath by trans. on the left side that is accessed by jacking the car up.

thanks. now i just drained my tank because the first hose was leaking really bad so i need to relace it. any tips on the BEST fuel line to use for my baja??

Try and find the German braided/fabric hose.Any good foreign parts house should have. Not the cheaper Brazilian junk. If you can't find German, NAPA or Carquest will work.Larger size tho. You need to make sure to put hose clamps on the hose.

okay, i'm still new to this, so what size should i get for a 1914 with dual carbs?

Best thing to do is take the old with you. With out seeing it
Could be 5.5mm or 7.5mm or 1/4" or 5/16"

alrirght thanks. now about that fuel filter right by the coil? i remember alot of prblems with the car starting on fire after that coil got to close for to long with the fuel line???

Location of the fuel filter is debatable on both sides. Read and make a decision.
