Default Good price for a 1974 Super Beetle Convertible?

While I love this car and have had it for about 10 years, I am getting ready to sell it and wonder what a fair price is. It is a 1974 Super Beetle Convertible. Not sure of miles since odometer stopped in 1977 with 33K but I know I've only put about 5-7K on the car since the late 90's. I would guess it has close to 100K miles but no way to tell.

Had car fully repainted with original yellow color and it looks perfect! It's never been in a wreck and there's no rust or dings. Replaced all rubber seals on doors, hoods, fenders, etc. Replaced front hood hinges. All new chrome trim and chrome running boards. Installed black visors and molded dash cover. Top is in great shape as it was replaced by previous owner in mid 90's. Garage kept. Strong motor is very dependable and never had problems. New full brake system last summer. Relatively new tires (look brand new). Re-upholstered with original basketweave black vinyl (thanks Derf!). Just about to replace door panels, install full new carpeting, rear hinge covers and replace side view mirros. Inspection and registration up-to-date in Texas.

What do you think is a fair price? What would be upper and lower range that I should expect? I'm sad to see this Bug go but it's time for a new owner to enjoy this beauty. I appreciate your help!

Default price

The best thing to do is start checking for what they are selling for in your area. On the east coast or mid west(rust country)they usually bring a higher price. There is to much difference in the local prices by area to give you a good guestimate. You can do an online search or a print search like Old Cars Buyers guide, this will give you a starting place.
