Drop -
Front: 1) remove beam from car (front suspension) 2) remove torsion springs from beam 3) cut center sections out of beam, rotate, re-weld into place (note - you need to figure out how much you want to drop the car, determine how many degrees that translates into and rotate the center sections that amount) 4) re-install torsion springs and the rest of the stuff 5) re-install beam You can also purchase a dropped beam OR an adjustable beam and put your stuff into it (easier and - if you're not a good welder - a lot safer as well) Rear: 1) Remove control arms from torsion bars 2) Rotate the splined cover the number of degrees you wish to lower the car 3) re-attach With the pre-1968 2 joint rear you'll get LOTS of negative camber when you drop it - and will wear out the insides of your tires - but that shouldn't be a big deal if it's not a DD. Whitewalls? Coker tires used to have 5.6*15's with gangster whites - not sure anymore. |
