i need some help with removing my front seats

i need some help with removing my front seat in my 79' super beetle. i have the plastic track slides of the tracks and now i cant find this "tab" that is supposed to be some where in the seat. if some one can help me with getting my seats out and tell me where this tab is or some other way to remove my seats with them still fuctioning that would be the greatest
