Default Starter Not Engaging

As many may know i have just installed a new starter motor for my 1972 Beetle.
And it worked fine for a couple of days but now it won't engage and turn the engine over. All i get is the wirring sound when i try to start it.
Any advice or thoughts about if i did anything wrong?
or am i going to have to remove it and check it out?

Bummer
You can check a few things on the car as it could be several things causing this. First lift up backseat, on the left side of car is a single red wire-terminal # 50- that comes from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid. Put your test light here. It should light up when yuou turn the key. if it does not light up it is probably your ignition switch. if it does light up your ignition switch is ok. If it has juice take the connector apart and take a jumper wire from the + side of battery and put it to the wire heading thru the firewall to back of car. be careful as this will activate the starter if it is working So make sure the car is in neutral and e brake on. If the starter turns over you will probably need a hard start relay kit. Common problem if it does not start this way bad starter?
All this as long as it is not a 74 which has seat belt interlock system
