Default Type 3 hubs

I have a '67 beetle, and I am going to mount it on a chassis from a '69 or '70. My questions is, will a type 3 hub bolt right up in place of the drum, or are the teeth on the axle and the teeth inside the hub different?

So you're going to mount type3 read drums to a 4 joint beetle rear end, correct? If so then I'm 90% certain the splines are the same - you could do a quick count of the splines on the axle versus the splines in the drum to make sure -
