4/25/04... ABE GTG/ COOKOUT....

ok, i thought about it for a while and figure the best way to do this it to take volunteers....
i will be contacting the park officials of allentown to reserve a pavilion w/ grill.... so i will need some help this time with food and what not.
i will do itialian seasoned chicken..... and if they apply the fees for locking a pavilion
i will need some volunteers to bring... 2 big packs hotdogs/ buns(enough for hotdogs)
2 or 3 boxes of hamburgers and once again buns.... anyone willing to bring chips, dips, and anything else like potato salad, forks, spoons and knives. napkins also. i will post what i have leftover from last gtg/cookout.... and take things off the list if we still have plenty. plates are in goodshape, please post if you are coming and what if anything you are bringing.

I can't commit myself to this one yet Ryan, but I'll see what I can do. Volksfest is taking up my entire day on Saturday, and the home natives tend to get restless when "Daddy" doesn't get in a lil' quality time during the weekends. Ah, who knows....maybe I'll just drag Karie & da' rugrats along.

Hey Ry, if you're taling about the same 'ol park, you don't need to reserve or pay for it, it's first come first use. And BTW, I'm coming, and so is the Jerm

Just to let you know. There is a GTG this sunday at the Lehigh Parkway. I seen this posted on East Coast Dubs. It's been up for awhile so I'm sure if a lot people have already commited to going to that one. They're still working on some details of what exactly will be going on. I believe it's pretty close to where you wanna have this one so maybe we could combine the two. I should have some free time Sunday so I'll probably be up there once this gets worked out.

yeah, i dont know exactly where they are having it but.... its been like a month or so since my last gtg and i would like to do another cookout.... i took the liberty of inviting a few of the guys and gals from the kutztown thing.... maybe we can show someof them the light and get some new members!
jeff, thanks for the info.... i dont think we will have a problem... i can get there plenty early to get the good pavilion!
dave, hope you can make it.... but if you can't we all understand.
as for ppl bringing stuff..... i just need some ppl to pick up what i posted in the topic starter, after i have some voulenteers for those bring whatever you guys would like to eat or drink! i will see if i can get my nephew for the day.... (he's 4 and says "i wanna get a yellow boltswagen!") he's awesome! if anyone wants to bring a footbal or activity equipment thats cool too, cuz it is a park!
just post what you are bringing and i'll take care of the rest! no need for plates or plasticware... we have plenty!

everyone that posted what they were going to bring is edited in to the first post.... so far only jon and myself have commited to stuff. so pretty much we need hotdogs, hamburgers, pickens..(ie... chips, and other snacky type things to munch on while we cook the other stuff)
just post what you would like to bring and the kings is like 30 seconds up the road so whatever is not brought i can run up and grab, i guess?
