Default Barrett-Jackson Auction

I noticed HPA sold two twin turbo R32's there. One sold for $59,400 and the other for $62,100. They are #1281 and 1281.1 on the auction listing. Some crazy #'s at that auction like $38K for a VW thing and $3 million for a '54 concept car!!!

I heard the TT only went for around 49,500? I would have expected it to be more than the R32s

I watched a good chunk of this on SPEED last Sunday and saw the R32's outside the hall but didn't get to see them auction them off. Some of the cars went pretty cheap others not so...regardless some of the richest car enthusiasts were there.

Did we all forget about eip's 650hp R32? You could have one for a bit less....

Got this email from after the auction from my friend who is a friend...nevermind just read it! I actually know Don so I can cut one friend out of there!

For those of you like me who watched the insane happenings at the Auction this past weekend here is something just to show how stupid and unrealistic those people are.

The 54 Olds concept car that was sold for 3 million. Well my friend Don is good friends with a guy who is good friends with the guy who owned that car for years in Colorado. The guy had the car advertised for sale for the last 2 plus years for $300,000 and had no takers. He sold it last year to the guy who took it to Barrette Jackson. That is a nice 2 1/2 million profit. The big kicker is the guy who bought it is from colorado.
