Dubs Along The Rockies 2008

I'm pleased to officially announce the 7th Annual Dubs Along The Rockies VW & Audi Enthusiast Event! This year's DATR event is presented by Avalon Motorsports and Kerma TDI and will be held on Sunday, August 24th, at the Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, CO. The following is a brief list of show details and info:

DATR 2008 EUROTUNER AD - as seen in the August issue!

This year we decided to step it up and advertise the event on a national level. Keep an eye out for this ad in the July issue of Eurotuner which hits stores in mid-June.

We're actually running two ads and there are still sponsorship spots available for those companies that are interested in being in the next ad for the August issue. Please contact me for more details.

EVENTS

Car Show - Classes by make and generation. Judged with trophies for best of class and runner-up.

Dyno Shootout - A portable 2wd dyno will be on-site. Classes by vehicle configuration. Trophies for highest WHP of class.

Slow Drags - The opposite of regular drag racing. The last one to the finish line wins. It's not just about going slow, it's about going slow in style. Trophy for final winner and special awards for best style and creativity.

Event Specials and HUGE Raffle - We have a number of awesome sponsors and vendors that will be at the event offering big specials on their products and services. A HUGE raffle with prizes separated by vehicle type and generation will also be taking place throughout the day.

ADDITIONAL INFO

Pre-register for all events online for the best prices. Day of event registration will be available but pre-registration is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Event t-shirts will be available. Pricing and sizing info will be up soon.

Volunteers are needed for assisting in day of event operations. Please contact me for available tasks and compensation info.

THIS EVENT IS ABSOLUTELY 100% ALCOHOL FREE. This has recently become a new requirement in order for us to obtain insurance coverage for the show. The event is held on a community college campus which is secured by campus police. The campus police will be on-site in order to provide event security throughout the day. The will be a ZERO TOLERANCE policy in effect which will be enforced by the campus police.

We hate to have things this way but recent incidents in the VAG community demand that we take any steps necessary to ensure that our event be safe for all in attendance.
