any F1 fans?

I was just wondering how many formula 1 fans there were here, and what everyone thought about the rule changes?

Personally after watching the Australian GP I'm all for the new rules, they made for some interesting pit strategies.

i like the sport, but i dont watch much TV. my fave auto sport or just sport in general is WRC! its the best. i think it takes more skill to take a car and beable to loose traction controlably if that makes any sence what so ever!

I love watchin the F1 races and WRC. I can't believe Ferrari didnt even get on the podium, just some bad luck and some good drivin by the British man!

Aren't they switching the transmission from paddle shifting to manual shifting sometime around the Silverstone race? Thats what I've heard.

Although many F1 teams hate it... I don't mind the new rules.

And these Ausie F1 girls either.

As a full blooded italian i watch Formula 1 and as u probably guessed i am a big ferrari tifoso. I personally don't like the rules but it does make it much more competitive. I personally believe if they don't make these rule changes then ferrari would take it for the 4th year.(even though they are gonna take it for a 4th year ) Also as a ferrari fan we believe that formula one doesn't actually begin until they hit europe soo there is a lot of time and races to be won.

To answer GTIboarder's question i also heard that there will be a switch in tranny's but i'm not too sure if it is going to be to manual shifting.

I love F1!!! There's just something about a 3 liter V10 reving at 18,000 RPM. I like WRC as well, that's sweet. GO CITROEN!!!!!

Oh, and about the tranny's. They were talking last season about the Williams/BMW team running basically an automatic great box. The would use their computer to pre-program shift points, and the drive's never did any gear selection at all. How many other teams run this I don't know, but maybe that's what they were talking about. As for the rule changes, I don't like the way they've done qualifying. Like one of the drivers said this weekend, there's no point in it now. All you have to do is go out and complete the lap, who cares where you finish.

P.S. David Coulthard isn't British, he's Scotish

Technically he is British, because Great Britain is Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland isnt it? But yes he is Scotish.
