You are required to withhold state and federal income taxes as well as social security and Medicare taxes from your employees' wages. right - I was referring to this VAT system - not our system :P

I'm just trying to get an idea of what you are suggesting we should do here in place of our current system (which kind of sucks and is annoying IMO).

Damn Tom, I'm no accountant, what do I know :P
I am not sure how VAT affects payroll, from what I have read though, it seems to be accounting related...ie, a VAT on the service of your payroll.
Not sure if this would help us here in the states at all, I am sure we would find some way to screw it up.

not having to deal with the IRS and all of that BS would rule though. if there was a way to get rid of loopholes in the tax system it would be more fair to everyone and there wouldn't be all this hassle every year around tax time.
