The entire thing was just mediocre.
Congrats to the Giants though...and HA! to the Patriots.
The "Kitty Half-Time Show" on Animal Planet was 100 times better.

I appreciate Tom Petty... and I was fully capable of singing along with every song he did. However, this is supposed to be some kind of spectacular show with lasers, pyrotechnics and 20 different top name performers. Not someone who's degraded enough to do the voice of an ancillary character on King of the Hill.

haha. I'd much rather have old Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers do 5 songs than 6 "super stars" do a collaboration or might I say complete train wreck. They were supposed to do play a pre-recorded Paula Abdul clip. I'm glad they decided to cut that out.

Yeah... I think you guys are reading me wrong. I'm not saying anything regarding the style of the music or that I'd rather be listening to pop stars.

I'm saying that when the commercials cost $2.7m for 30sec of space the halftime show had better be INSANE.

I could dig a classic rock Super Bowl halftime show... Give me Journey, Led Zeppelin and some Quiet Riot! I'd be pissed it would end!
