1st 2 pics, he should turn the wheel towards the camera. no one wants to see tire. everyone wants to see sexy rims! some of the other pics need it too. otherwise they look great. awesome golf and the pics look great.

Nice work. Some spots that could use work but I don't know how you take criticism. I take it horribly... then grow on it anyway.

Mind you... I'm no better than you are... I just have a lot of friends who are professionals and give me shit because they see potential. I wouldn't do this if I didn't think you show a hell of a lot of natural ability... so take it as a compliment.

While I can agree with the wheel turned thing my biggest concern in the first two is the grille being underexposed.

Shot 35 is over processed. The contrast is high enough that there's neither detail in the shadows or the highlights. The ominous look of the building isn't worth the loss of detail on the car.

Shot 64 is either shakey or out of focus. I'm going with shakey. Shooting at 1/15th and F4 with ISO 800 you should really be using a tripod.

Shot 65 has no business being here. It's the same as shot 64 only worse. It's almost artsy enough for you to drop 64 and just say 'I meant to do that'.

The last picture doesn't belong as well.

Your color correction is pretty close. 77 is yellow, all the shots with the building taking up most of the frame are a touch red, the ones with the car in most of the frame are a touch blue. The warm shots are good but shot 47 proves to me that the ground isn't really as red as it looks in the first few.

When doing high shots like 75 beware of the ground and how it works with the car. The seam in the concrete coupled with the antennae confuses me every time I look at it.

A tripod and a polorizer will do you wonders. The polorizer is going to knock you down a couple more stops but with the tripod that wont matter. If you have to shoot at that high of an ISO do some noise reduction.

Once again... good work as usual.

i can actually agree with all of that. the grill in 1 and 2 your talking the darker side of it i assume?

35 is way over processed and i know it

64 is a tad out of focus/shakey

65 i had the focus set wrong but i thought it came out kind of cool blurred like that so i posted it

the last pic in the first set is way out of focus but its the only one i got with my gti in it.

the crack and antenna i never noticed but i can see it now that its mentioned.

the pics were hard to process like i said i felt there was too much red and too much blue just as you stated and it was hard to find a balance. when i thought it was balanced it lacked detail just as you said.

this was my first attemp at a low light / flourescent light shoot. over all im pleased but i can definately improve next time.

thank you

I usually shoot in RAW+Jpeg, especially if the white balance is going to be questionable. I like having the jpeg because I'm lazy and nothing I do is going to be printwork. I can afford the loss in detail if it saves me the time of letting the camera correct wb and saturation... but sometimes I can't get the light how I wanted it because the white balance in the cameras processing only makes it worse. It's then that having the raw format image saves my ass.

The light in this parking garage was almost completely yellow:

The jpeg was worthless but I got this out of the raw image with just a pull of a slider.
