Default db's Passat (1) vs. BMW 330i (0)

So this morning I was driving southbound a the PA Turnpike like I normally do at 8am when suddenly two cars slammed on their brakes in front of me and I was quickly to follow. My immediate reaction was to look in my rear-view to see if anyone was behind me...sure enough a Black BMW. He didn't stop and slammed my Passat at about 70mph. I knew he wasn't going to stop so I braced myself and prepared for the rear-end.

I was pushed a few feet then slowed up and was able to pull off to the side of the road. He didn't move and his airbags were deployed. I called 911 and told them what happened. Luckily a few minutes past and he got out and pushed his BMW off the road. He was ok. He apologized and admitted he was at fault. Bottom line we both are ok. He also ended up living minutes from me too.

As for the Passat probably need a new rear bumped and will need to be checked over to make sure nothing is broke underneath. The car drives decent; too early to tell if something is out of whack. As for the BMW probablly needs a new bumper, steering wheel/airbag and god else knows what. Car wouldn't start due to the BMW Onstar type mechanism that shuts down the car.

As for my Passat her ass is sore and my neck and back are too!

P.S. I'm feeling Lucky.

Reading the thread subject, I thought it was going to be about street racing...I would have locked it up faster than you can say "Go home pizza boy."

Anyway, wow. Glad you are ok, Davey. Be sure you got to the Chiropractor soon to make sure your insides are ok. Like Kylie said, it sounds like it could have been much worse.

I was thinking the same thing haha...

Glad you're ok Davey. Make sure they look at everything, even suspension components and drive train.

kyle ran into a house in Hellam. no cause has been said yet but the guys house is on a steep incline so who knows. the cop pictured there was the one who arrested me for skateboarding when i was 14.

i talked to brandon today and circuit city and his jetta also got rearended ruining the awesome dissapearing license.

mk4's are cursed

Doing some digging, Kyle claims his brakes failed. I find that hard to believe considering I had my ABS disabled in my MKIV for nearly half a year and it was a bitch to get the car stopped in a hurry, but I could still do it. Unless his calipers fell off, I don't see how he made it up a hill and carried enough speed to put a hole in a house if he wasn't speeding.

That sucks Dave. At a quick glance, they probably wont' even replace that bumper, just fill it and respray it.
