Default Audi TT + iPod Nano + Japan

Quote:
Please welcome the first car which comes standard-equipped with an iPod nano: the Audi TT, at least in Japan!

If you buy your Audi TT between 5th January and 31st March it will be equipped with a 2GB iPod nano, fully integrated to your car stereo!

Two design icons together, just great!

was wondering about vw integrating the ipods...I read they might be firming up the integration with the mk5s either in the next few months or by the end of the year. I do like the fact that the ipod integration will be an option, but I don't like idea of the hookup coming from the glove box...I use my ipod everyday (especially on road trips). I have mine sitting on the passenger seat and press the side button if I want to change the track.

I'd like to see some in-dash integration...otherwise, you might as well piece together your own. It just seems impractable.

But you completely control the iPod from the HU with this setup. You don't have to touch the iPod. Plug it in and close the glove box. Done.

They are so nice to have. I've installed a couple of the USA-SPEC interfaces, and you just control the iPod as if it was a CD changer. Depending on the make/model you may be able to even see the song titles on the HU.
