$1150 from Pure Motorsport. Just picked some up for the S4. My roommate is an anal as all hell Audi guy so knowing his ability to research, gather and store information you made the right choice.

Just don't be surprised when you pull them out of the box and see the KW logo on certain parts of them because they're not doing a very good job of hiding the true manufacturer. They aren't stainless like the KWs. Think Weitec... because they aren't far off.

Non stainless, non adjustable. $1500 would have bought KW V2s.

i will admit i didn't really give it much research and wasn't aware the dampening was non-adjustable... that pisses me off a bit, but i'm sure i will still love the suspension and i've read only good things about the kit so i guess we will see.......... goes to show ask your fellow forum members first.... and atleast this kit is better than the $900 koni's i was gonna buy......

edit: ok after looking around a little i still am not sure if the damper is adjustable..... 50/50 chance..... as for the strut body, vogtland uses the KW inox stainless perch set-up so no worries gents........

If they are non stainless then its not the KW body. And the INOX coating is the best feature of KW, doubt yours has it, may be wrong... Either way for the same price you could have gotten true KW's and not a step lower. Also lifetime waranty of struts and body is complete BULLSHIT! How in the hell is a company going to stay around selling a product that will, without a doubt, fail over time due to the nature of the part. no matter how good suspension its a matter of time untill they blow/sieze/ect. NO company is going to cover the cost of lifetime replacements. Its laughable that they would even say that. And what, your going to put stock suspension on to send out your coilovers while they take 6weeks to repair?

I think its the same body as KW just without the coating, kind of like weitec

Yup. I've had KWs, Vogtlands and Weitecs all here in the last couple weeks. Same machining, same design, same bumpstops, same everything but the colors and coatings. I'd guess the dampers are probably different inside too considering KW V2s use Koni dampers. It's pretty funny how few coilover designs/manufacturers there really are.

Incidentally... from the insiders I've talked to I've gathered that the first runs of Patecs were built with leftover parts from the Weitec redesign a couple years ago. They're supposed to be on their own design now. So that would be another level of KWness.

Bilstein PSS coilovers from purems are <$1000, at leas they were a couple months ago, H&R's are <$1100 and also have a lifetime warranty, or you could get PSS9's which are adjustable and have a lifetime warranty for about 1300.

yeah i don't know why a company would lifetime warrenty a part that is garrunteed to fail over time.... makes no sense.... only a selling point that worked on me......... supposedly if one fails they send a direct replacement to be installed and you send them the failed strut never to be seen again...... once again i read good things about the vogt's, will get them on later this week so i'll know all the details then....... also i needed a suspension as soon as possible and unfortunately do to backorders and out of stocks some makes wouldn't have arrived for months and i couldn't wait that long.

H&R's lifetime warranty is halfassed, you must send them the part and they will make a decision if its a defect or because of driver error. Of course they will over any defects on their end, but not the damages of time or driver error. If I run over a curb and bend a strut they are gonna send me a new part? bullshit.

Reguardless, the INOX coating for the KW's was my selling point, 3 years and my suspension is perfect still, very very few other companies hold up like that. I run salt testing at my work, stainless only holds about 12 hours longer then non stainless, which is ~ 6months in a NE 4 season climate, so you'll get about an extra year or two out of them exposed to road salt...

Hope they work good for you, just hate seeing people not research on a purchase this expensive.
