I just had my oil changed at Induktion Motorsports but my little count down to when I need an oil change wasn't reset. Is there anyway to reset it myself without a vag-com?

The dealership performing the service resets the display when the service has been completed. The display is reset as follows:
- Switch the ignition on
- When the knob ==> fig. 16 -Arrow- (trip reset knob) is pulled, this message appears: SERVICE!.
- Pull the knob ==> fig. 16 -Arrow- until the display SERVICE IN ____ MI ____ DAYS appears in the display. If the reset button is not pushed within 5 seconds, the display reset mode closes.
There have been questions on the board before as to whether this procedure will set a 10,000 mile interval or 5,000 miles. When the interval is reset via the VAG diagnostic unit, it goes to 10,000 miles.
Vag-Com:

Audi has included a Service Interval Reminder that includes oil mileage interval, the service mileage interval, and the service time interval. To reset the Service Reminders using VAG-COM:
1998 and Newer:
[Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Adaptation - 10]
Enter channel 02
[Read]
The "Stored Value" is the current value for that channel.
Enter the "New" value of 0 (zero)
[Test]
[Save]
Note: It is normal for the display to show something like "--/--" instead of an actual distance/time to service after resetting until you have driven some distance.

go tovagcom's website and search for it. It will give you the instructions that Josh posted and you will find anything you ever need on there in the future as well. I didi this to my friends audi not too long ago
