Default Test drove a new RS4 yesterday..

at Don Rosen,

It was.... mmmmmmmmm... "ok"

beautiful fit and finish, interior is excellent, power was ok... driving experience was ok....

Not what i expected for 76K.... Needs a bit more ooommmphh.... It sounds great in S mode when you downshift, but still... I walked away unimpressed with the sticker price for performance ratio..

Id prefer an M5..... but they are quite a bit different...

dont get me wrong... the car looks exciting, and the interior is excellent like all audis.... they should have crammed the ole V10 in there, or an RS6 motor hee he

Moved to Audi Discussion.

I think the RS4 looks better than the M5. But then again, you need to really compare equivalent cars like an RS6 to an M5... something like that.

They didnt cram the 10 in there so YOU have room to strap some new hardware on

I dont think the size of the RS4 and M5 are comparable at all.

M5 starts at $82,500, RS4 starts at $66,000, doesn't sound very comparable to me. That's a $16,500 difference.

The new report on Vortex matches the RS6 up to the M5. http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publi...cle_1867.shtml

I'll take the RS6. The RS4 does look nice, havent had a chance to go for a ride in one though.

well the car i drove was 74L pre owned (300 miles)

m5's can be had for 80K

so close in my ball park...

RS6's came out well before the M5 and missed the mark, and the hype... i dont think you can argue this..

but..

thing is, i just explained to someone...

I hate to love the M5..

and i hated to not love the RS4...

yea that is completely based of what ive read in articles and my preference for Audis. i dont think ive ever actually driven a car that could be put up to those standards. the closest would probably be my dads 2006 A6...which isnt that close lol
