Default new jetta style/model

Hey All,

I'm new to this forum and I'm thinking about buying a Jetta, but I'm concerned a new model/style will be released soon since the current one came out a while ago. Has anyone heard?

The new golf seems like its coming out soon, the Golf 5. Anyone have concept or "spy" pictures of a possible new Jetta?

Does anyone have an idea when a new style could be released? 2004? 2005?

I'd say the MK5 Jetta will be here in 2005 and the MK5 Golf will be here next year.

Welcome to the VWF!

PS: Please ask 1 question once and not 3 times. The other 2 posts have been deleted.

Ahhhh...now if the MK5 is coming out in just 2 years, I'm a little hesistant about purchasing a new Jetta now. Maybe I should look into other cars?

What do you all think?

The questions arise in what are your needs? How much are you willing to spend? Is this a car you are looking to mod out? Or keep bone stock? What type of power are you looking at?

So so many questions?

Well, I'm not going to mod the car and I'm probably going to get a 1.8T.

My real concern is...I really like the Jetta now, but I don't want to be driving it for 2 yrs and then seeing the new redesigned model on the street and think "wow...the new one looks so much nicer"

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Suggestion:

Get a car for $6000 CAD ($3800 US). Average person pays about $3000 CAD (or $1900 US) for his car per year. So even if the car craps out on ya you are breaking even, or you might even sell it for some cash.

Then buy your new redesigned Jetta.

That's not a bad idea. Does anyone know what the new Jetta will look like? I've heard it we more along the line of a Passat.

I'm perplexed, since I love the current Jetta look as well.
