Any better photos of the car? Polos are really sweet cars and I wish we would have them in the states, but no such luck.

Welcome to VWForum. I hope you enjoy your stay and learn lots of proper english!

Hi Marlon,

nice especially with the sun roof! I'm new to this forum as well, so I'm trying to navigate my way around the site

I see that you worked for VW. I sent a post yesterday and I will forward it to you here, because I haven't seen any replies to mine as yet, I'm not sure how long it'll take, and I need some help on my 2000 VW Bora real fast!!

Here's what I posted:

I have a 2000 VW Bora that gives trouble to start when I park it in the sun, but starts ok when parked in the shade.

When I turn the key in the ignition, sometimes I get just silence, or the engine starts but doesn't turn over. After a couple tries, it sometimes then starts.

It's not the battery, I bought a new one 5mths ago and that was checked.

This is quite frustrating, because I live in the tropics, sunshine 365/6 days a year, no winter, spring, nor fall.!
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

I'm really hoping I can find help on this forum, because the mechanic checked the ignition & inhibitor switch, starting motor, all the fuses. Nothing wrong there. As long as its been parked in the shade, it works like normal, but that's not always possible.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks debora.
