Default New VW Owner Saying...Ugh.

Hey everyone.

I just picked up a used Jetta as a daily driver, and I can honestly say it's a fun little car.

Problem is, I have person after person telling me how high-maintenance these cars are.

So far the only problems I've had is the clutch and just today, there was a loud knocking coming from beneath my feet.
Sounds like maybe a halfshaft or bad transmission mount.

Not familiar enough with VWs to say exactly, but hopefully this thing won't be a money pit.

anyways, registered here now, so hopefuly you guys can enlighten me on how to keep this car running properly, and I'll be asking many many questions.

Thanks.

To be honest, I don't think they're any more expensive to keep on the road than any other make. My VWs have been just as reliable as the Hondas I had before them. Post up pics of yours... I want to see that Supra
