start banning people who post in the wrong forum. seriously, how hard is it to put mk4 stuff in the mk4 forum? i mean i know all mk4 owners are retarded already anyway but is it seriously that hard to look at the break down of years? maybe we should put up a warning before posting in any of the tech sections asking if you're sure you're in the right section, or if it belongs in the classifieds.

... if people are new and don't know that much of VW's , or this site...they might click on the Jetta forum link(on the home page)... it brings you to the MK3 forum... don't be so hasty people are just asking for help... plus it's not quite clear that there is a break down of years unless you look at the VW models page.....so clearly the main page is Not clear (on year break downs).

we will NOT be banning anyone who posts in the wrong section PERIOD. It is not the new member problems at all because as the previous reply stated things are not in the best order and location...i have been working with the other mods on trying to come up with new ways to be doing things around here and how we can make the site better for all...

I have talked to many new users that have had some problems finding things as they are a little confused...I AM WORKING ON IT!

and if you don't like this website then please just leave....many others would agree with it...this site is a place for dub owners to come to find solutions to their problems and just overall talk to others...it is a community....if you don't like it then i say it again...just leave....

Hey dickless, I know that you have noone to vent to that you actually know outside of this forum since I'm probably correct in assuming the world hates you, but that's no reason to throw a hissy fit about someone posting in the wrong forum. As moderator it's my job to move these threads to the correct forum, and trust me, it gets tedious. Keep in mind you snobbish little shit, that a lot of the users on here are either a little bit older or new to using forums and not 100% familiar on how to navigate and/or use the forum, or are new to VW's and don't know the difference between a MK III and a MK IV.

To be honest I could give a fuck if you like this forum or not, because noone here is making you stay, and keep the attitude and someone may shortly be making you leave. If you don't want to be here or have nothing good to say, then be a big girl and don't let the door hit your ass on the way out.

chill out breh. first off i obviously don't actually want people banned for this reason but the fact is that its a problem. maybe if you logged on once in a while and did your job we wouldn't have this problem. way to act mature with names like "dickless", sorry i didn't know we were back in 7th grade. you're a great image for a leader on this site.

the fact is that it is a big problem, there are a lot of people posting in the wrong section in general. ok, they don't know where the proper section to post is. then maybe you should have something up that helps point the right direction instead of just having them post any which way. but that would be thinking smart now wouldn't it.

the reason i don't have anyone to complain to is because no one even uses this board. i come here to help people but its like baning my head off the wall.

Because you are certainly acting more mature by referring to all MK IV owners as being retarded, as if there was a specific age group that is targeted by the MK IV crowd. As moderators we really cannot modify the site's lay out, I'm not the webpage designer nor do I have any way of contacting him/her. My job is to do the best with what I have and manage the site as best I can even if that means constantly moving threads that people post in the wrong sub-forum. Speaking of doing my job, I have consistently been on here every day up to 5 times a day save for the last week simply because I have had a lot on my plate working 35+ hours a week, 17 credit hours in school, a girlfriend I occasionally like to see, and working on my car. As was previously mentioned, if the site is sub-par in your opinion then take your leave and do it quickly. You came on here to help then help don't make a thread about how sick you are of this place and how much it pisses you off that some people have a more difficult time navigating the website than you do.

96GTIVR6 concider this your warning if you continue to tamper with this....i told you we were working on it and Cody is 100% correct we cannot change the layout...that is all up to the website designer....and the administrator of this site is NOT the designer...one runs it and one builds it...so if you have a complaint about the layout of the site take it strait to the administrator...we cannot do SHIT about it only the admin...HAVE I SAID IT ENOUGH TIMES????

and also for your information we currently have 3 mods and 1 admin that are running this WHOLE SITE!!!! and we do have lives outside of the internet that every once and a while we don't want to be on here....so no its not going to be 100% organized ALL THE TIME unless you have a mod stationed 24-7....so we are doing the best that we can! So let us do our work and not have to worry about threads like these....

and yes i understand as moderators you guys don't have any way of changing the site, that wasn't what i was suggesting either. i was saying that perhaps the changes need to be made by whoever can do them.
