VWF Guidelines *PLEASE READ*

These are here to help you (and others) have an enjoyable experience here, in hopes to maintain a tight community feel throughout the forum, for all of our existing members and any new members. We are all here for the same reason…to enjoy the knowledge and company of other Volkswagen and all around automotive enthusiasts. We want this to be a fun, and relaxing place…rules and guidelines are never fun to present to an online community forum, but due to the recent behavior, it has become necessary.

Please do NOT reply to this thread, if you have any questions please contact a moderator. If you do post it will be removed.

Forum Guidelines:
- No profanity.
- No linking or posting of pornographic or objectionable material.
- Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself.
- Posting under secondary usernames or alias user names other than your main account for the purpose of arguing, degrading or belittling other readers is grounds for a warning.
- No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument. ANY personal attacks or name calling will result in a warning.
- No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts.
- Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activity on the forums. Linking to locations that deal with any such activity is also forbidden.
- No SHOUTING please. Try not to use all caps when posting. It is difficult to read and annoying.
- Try to post in the forum that is most appropriate for the topic being presented.
- No cross-posting (Posting the same message in two different sections).
- Respect the privacy of other members and individuals. Do not post personal information about them (i.e. addresses, phone numbers, passwords, etc.)
- No spamming or commercial solicitation of any kind. Any such messages will be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator. Selling of individual items is permissible by a private owner in our Trading Post forums, however selling multiple items of the same product is considered a commercial post and may be removed at the discretion of moderators and/or staff. Group buy topics maybe posted in the forum they most apply to as long as the company conducting the group buys has administrative consent from VWForum. Classifieds belong in the classified forum. Only VWForum banner advertisers are permitted to make commercial posts in the general forums. Directory advertisers can make group buy or commercial posts only in the classifieds. Please see the “Traders Guide” (Link) and “Group Buys Rules” (Link) for further information.
- No buying, selling, or trading anywhere outside of the Classified Forum…members can be Private Messaged if you have an item you think they might be interested in.
- Please respect not only each other, but forum moderators and administrators as well. It is a thankless job that we do, and cleaning up other people's messes is never fun.

There are going to be topics and discussions that will have heated debates. Please think before you post and re-read what you type before you post it. Keep your comments limited to the debate at hand and not make this a personal issue between you and another reader. There is tremendous diversity in age, race, gender, language, location (worldwide) and more here and there will be a lot of varying opinions on different subjects. We're all human beings and we we're all drawn to this site because we have a common bond as Volkswagen and car enthusiasts.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Discussion Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or an otherwise violation of the law.

Forum moderators and administration reserve the right to lock/delete any thread, or delete a post which violates any of the above mentioned rules. Although it is not required, if you feel your thread/post has been locked/deleted unfairly, feel free to contact any staff member and we will be happy to explain/investigate the situation.

Warning System:
First Warning- A private message and e-mail to advise you of the action/behavior.
Second Warning- A second private message and e-mail advising you of the action/behavior, and possible account deactivation for a specified amount of time.
Third Warning- A final private message and e-mail advising you of the action/behavior, and account deactivation for the foreseeable future.
