Whats wrong with the skirts you have now? they go well with the rest of the kit you have. Now is this a pure show car with no daily driving or anything? The reason I ask is its a little scetchy molding plastic to metal without worrying if it'll crack at some point...not saying it will but it is a strong possibility. If you really want to mold it in try fabbing some up from sheet metal that way it can be welded right to the car, thats what I'll be doing this winter

the ones i have now are molded and i am changing them for the exact reason that you described. I got the ones i have now from a friend of mine that shows with me that drives a mercury cougar, i bought them for like 75 bucks, they had to be cut in a zig-zag down the middle to be shortened by somthing like 4 1/4 inches to fit then we screwed them to the car and molded them in, then removed the screws and filled the holes...

anyway, i drove the car about 2000 miles since it was done and both of them are starting to stress crack vertically where we shortened them, and.... thanks to a little trailer ramp mishap (steel = good wood = bad) the passenger side rear molding is completely cracked.

here are some more pictures of the body work...

Didn't you use any adhesive to attach the skirts to the car? or did you just screw them on?

Hmm, I've heard some bad things on Duramix not holding up so well. I'm a big proponet of Fusor but I'm thinking that there are several better adhesives for joining plastic to metal but I can't remember what they are. A friend of mine used this stuff to attach a widebody kit to their scirocco and it worked great, some really strong yet expensive stuff. I'll never be sold on the idea of molding plastic to steel just for the fact you have two different compounds with different expansion/contraction values which ofcourse leads to cracking. I'd say fab it out of steel and call it a day
