Default What are you doing today?

Plain and simple... what are you doing to your car today?

I am taking off my coils, removing my headliner and putting on some stock wheels. I already took off my intake, my R32 short shifter, my wheels, my exhaust and my hatch...

Who can guess what I'm doing tomorrow?

You go through cars as fast as me, and we've had exactly the same ones. Mk4 GTI VR6, MK4 GLI, and now a Mk5 GTI or GLI.

How about us both having Candy White MKV GTIs

What options you getting? 07 or 08? Wait until '09, it's going to come with a K04. At least you get the lower suspension stock.

If you drove it every day, you wouldn't have liked it either...

I got an 07 PKG 1 with the Premium Sound and 17" Denvers. I was impressed with the test drive, but nothing is like ripping it in your own car with no one from the dealership holding on for dear life. The car handles like no other car I've ever owned. I love the power, much faster than the 24v with basic bolt ons and arguably as fast as my chipped GLI. Every time I get out of it, I smile

It was due for inspection at the end of August. In the month of August I had to replace the front tires (which still won't even pass inspection due to incorrect load ratings for the car), replace the driver side axle/cv and finally take the car in to get all of the quirks fixed (brake light switch recall, bad door sensor and bad window switch). The car also has had it's numerous exhaust leaks, "modified" front sway bar, etc which might raise an eyebrow upon inspecting, all of which I would have had to replace or repair in order to drive the car. Also I was paying a hefty car payment for a car that had virtually no warranty, even though I was paying monthly for one. The axle/cv would have been covered under warranty if only it didn't have wear marks on it from the sway bar grinding away and if my car wasn't sitting 23 1/2" fender to ground in the front lol. What I'm trying to say is this... MKVs ARE AWESOME! It has everything I wanted in my MKIV, STOCK. The cool cluster, the cool steering wheel, the funky seats, oh yeah and HIDs are pretty cool too I guess There were so many deciding factors pushing me to get a new car it wasn't even funny. I made my down payment from all the parts I sold. I still have a few and once I get pics I'll post up a thread selling them... for now, I'll be inside my new GTI, smiling from ear to ear.
