Audio and wiring

Hey guys I recently purchased a 2006 TDI jetta. The car is great except for the radio and sound quality. I have already purchased an aftermarket head unit for the car but I'm believe the car needs new speakers. I talked to crutchfield and they said most people get rid of the mid speaker in the front and just use the aftermarket woofer. Any recommendations for sound quality or simple mods to allow the speaker to fit correctly? The next thing is that there is no amp under the seat in this model, so how what would be the correct way to wire an amp into this system. Any feedback would be helpful, Thanks.

There maybe not enough space for powerful speakers /woofer in front of the car and I don't find such a model of speaker which fit the car well, I would suggest you add speakers/subwoofer on the trunk of the car. I added speakers/radio etc. from seciane for my car before and it works well.
