Default Is drl bad for HID?

Im thinking of getting these HIDs: H7 - 8000K Automobile Xenon HID for my 2006 Jetta 2.0T. But i have day driving lights, will being on all the time reduce the life span of the HIDs?

yes, it will burn up the balast. However if you want the ''blue'' look you can get the bulbs, but if you want HID do some research on google on how to dissable the drl's

It will shorten the life of the HID's but look at all the porsches, cadillacs, BMW's, Mercedes all their HID's are daytime running lights. You should be okay.

DRL HIDs won't be that bad. It'll shorten the life, but don't worry about it. By the time they burn up it'll be a long way down the road. Just don't get a cheap set and they'll last you.
