Whats a Farenheit?

btw VW is ordering me a replacement front grill without license plate bracket. call customer care if you want one. i just thought i should have had the choice of installing it or not. more than 50% of cars in my state do not have front license plates... though required its not enforced. i think it will look better without.

Congrats on the R32. I am jealous! I live in Canada and its not available to buy here. They did however open up a way to import it as it was previously on the list of cars not admisable over the border). I am seriously considering upgrading my GTI to an imported R32. I love my 07 GTI but I would really like AWD for the winter and that 3.2 v6 in such a small car is really appealing. Plus I love that exhaust!

Wow - why was an R32 not admissable to import into Canada until now?

It was not specifically R32's that were not allowed. We were not allowed to register anything that was not already being sold in Canada unless it was at least 15 years old.
Because of the strong canadian / weak US dollar, they have folded under pressure from all the consumers who want to take advantage and have allowed us to import almost anything from the US. (including the R32).
Are you still enjoying yours?
My current GTI is united grey, just like your R32. I like the colour but dont seem to be able to find an r32 painted that way so I think im going to buy one of the blue ones. Looks like I have to trek at least as far as salt lake city to find one though! (I live in Calgary so thats pretty far!)

I've been to Calgary, although it was long time ago - the year before the olympics were held there.

Yep still enjoying my R32 very much. 1700 miles on it now. An odd thing happened yesterday, a guy in a Mazda 3 hatchback moved into the lane next to me and pulled his car along side mine, started revving his engine. Then he floored it and took off. I thought... oh, I see, he wanted to race. With premium fuel still near 4/gallon i was happy to watch him go. I realize now that this has happened a couple times. So thats one thing about an R32 - people seem to want to race you!

yeah i've noticed that a bit in the GTI but I dont let it bother me too much. What bugs me more is when big trucks drive really close behind me. urgh! thats my biggest beef. thats when the quick acceleration comes in handy though!
