My only question is...would your Toyota dealer be able to properly repair your car...I bought my car from a Nissan dealer used and when my trans had issue 35 days after purchase they denied resposibilty and even said " I would not even feel comfortable working on that transmission".
It is not like it was built by NASA,but some dealers only really know their cars and not much else.

With most warranties the work can be done at any facility. I purchased from a Mazda dealer today and they said for some work they'll send you over to to the VW dealer.
You should also be able to use any mechanic of your choice. I prefer that approach myself. At a dealer you never get to talk to the mechanic doing the work. I like to go to the places where the mechanic owns the business, loves his work and lets you into the garage to see what's going on. With a dealer everything is such a mystery once your car disappears past the concierge's booth.
Having been an Audi owner, I can tell you that Germans don't engineer cars to be easy to work on. So the labor costs can be high when something goes wrong. That and German parts come at a premium.
