Default Oil Filter

I'm trying to change my oil filter, but I'm not sure where it is. I found something right in front of the oil tank that looks like it.
If that is it, then how do I change the filter.
If that isn't it, then does anyone know where it is?

Thanks!

It would help to know what motor you have, and what year/model your car is.

I will go out on a limb and "assume" (ouch) that you have the MKV with a 2.5. If this is the case, the oil filter is inside a black plastic canister on the radiator side of the engine. If you are looking into the engine bay, it is underneath the intake manifold, slightly right of where the dipstick is.

Hope this helps,
