Default R36!

Just read a blirb in the new CAR magazine, where they test drove the MkV Golf, stating that the R36 is happening. 275hp, 4-motion, thats really all you need to know! What truth the magazine holds, I am not 100%, but it's sure sounds awsome. Still have to convince myself that I don't hate the new styling first though

Well ladies and gents....

It is indeed true.

I just talked to my wife's cousin who works for VW in europe and he said that the R36 is already on the drawing table. The engine is the same 3.6 that will be used in some Toureg and Pheaton models as well. Can't wait.

Butter Yo! Maybe I should wait to get that instead of the R32. All though I like the R32 body styling better as well. Still that's great news.

OK OK OK.

Complements of the chef.

Just got this via Messenger from Germany. Enjoy! (clearly computer generated obviously as it isn't even near a production date... or is it?)

Clio!

Haha. Actually, good to see. I think it definately looks better in 2D form, and heck, with ~300 HP, who cares what it looks like right?, I mean, thats been Subaru's theory for the past decade at least...

wow! finally they have a good base engine that can compete with the sti and the evo 8. the r32 was a close competition but was a disappointing last in most of the categories when those three cars were tested! i want to see how the r36 will look. gotta love what vw's doing!

and nice pchop thomas! u just need to add a little more body styling.

Thomas, maybe its prophetic. I happend to see that it came from your cousin, but we would all like to see some more of your wizardry to take it that much farther.

I guess my question is this, with quattro and that much power, do you think there might be some WRC in VW's future? I know the TDI does really well in its class, but I want to see a VW running in the big boy classes.
