Default Thinking of buying a 07/08 rabbit

Okay, I am thinking about doing the whole get out from under your parents wing and going and buying a rabbit. I am currently driving a Lexus RX 330, I like it, but I am not a fan of having a large car(though it come in handy sometimes). i prefer the Lexus ES 330, that we also own. So to say the only experience I have with cars is Japanese, which I like a lot but at the moment cant really afford(b/c i am a first time buyer) and american cars, which i just hate. All of the VW owners i have spoken with say that they love there cars. I just have a few questions for actual owners, because they usually know the ins and outs of there cars First, How does it do on the freeway(noise, vibration, so on...) Does any one have any problems when you get up to speeds between 65-80mph? How is the steering, the turn radius? And in terms of modding, the one thing i wish this car had was a GPS, does any one here know if there is a way to add a in dash third party GPS to this car? Thanks, P2

I have two close friends who own Rabbits. They both love them. One had a 2001 Volvo S40 before it and the other a MK2 Jetta Coupe. I know they make a radio kit to install an aftermarket deck into the dash, I'm sure any radio shop (ie: Circuit City, Best Buy, Tweeter) will have what you're looking for.

Rabbits are fine between 65 and 80, quiet, smooth, they handle the speed great. Even less expensive european cars are made to be able to safely go fast.
