will the stock suspension from a base 2010 golf fit the 2010 GTi

hi, i really like the golf GTi but the suspension is a little to rough for me. however, i drove the basic golf 2010 with the 2.5 engine and the suspension on it was just right. my question is, can i swap the suspension from a stock Golf into the GTI with the same model year 2010. is it a basic swap or do i need to do anything else. thanks

You can but the GTI suspension is built for handling and for a good sporty hatchback. If you don't want a sport car you should have just bought a golf...my .02 cents
