Another 3rd place finish for VWF
Even before the 2005 racing season began, I think all of us knew things would be different this time around. Changing racing classes this year has brought about a whole new set of obstacles for the VWF Racing team. And even though a 3rd place finish can hardly be considered mediocre, the VWF team expectations dictate otherwise.
In the 2nd week of racing action @ MVS, Mike Garris Jr. found himself in a woefully similar situation.....chasing the red & white #22 Toyota driven by Jeff Bartron. (Bartron is on quite a streak, winning all of his last 3 starts.) With the new untuned engine, Mike was only able to keep the Jetta in front of the main pack of cars while the #22 broke away. VWF Racing has thier work cut out for them to get this motor tuned and the Jetta winning again. Time will certainly tell, but I'm confident that it won't be long `till "lil' critter" is in the winner's circle.
