Race #2 @ MVS :Saturday 5/1 6PM

I know many of you missed the 1st race, but you already know the results.

The 2nd race for the VWF Jetta is schedualed for Saturday, May 1st @ 6pm(weather permitting). I would like to gather another crew of VWF members to trek out to Mahoning Valley Speedway and cheer on Mike Garris and the #44 car. If the 2nd race is anything like the 1st, you will find yourself on the edge of your seat. Mike Garris just flat out knows how to drive.

Things to bring:

1st & foremost - If you have VWF flare, wear it! If you don't, get some! If we're gonna show up in mass, we want everyone else to know it. So far, the effort this racing team has put out has given all of us a reason to feel proud. Let's give a little of that pride back.

2nd - A blanket or cushion to sit on. The wooden spectator seating surfaces at MVS are a little old & splintery. We don't want anyone pullin' splinters out of their a$$. (right, db? :P )

3rd - While there are reasonably priced food stands on the premisis, you are permitted to bring in your own food/drinks.(sorry, no alcohol ) Feel free to pack a cooler.

I'll be posting up more info as I recieve it. Depending upon the interest I can generate, I haven't ruled out the possibilty of a local cruise to MVS. Time will tell. If anyone is interested in attending from farther away and would like local hotel info, let me know and I'll check that out for you.

this week will be a long night at the races they will end around 11pm afterwards you are allowed in the pits to see the cars stop in and check it out. also look for me i will sit with ya in the stands before we race and if you have any questions on anything i will fill ya in. jay the gman garris owner of the #44 vwf car

Yea, the weather has me concerned too. We plan on being in Slatington, so we'll just see what the skies are like approaching race time. If the rain holds out, I'll be there with Karie and 2 of our nephews.

WooooHooooo.........According to www.weather.com, it looks like the rain may hold out for race time. I'm so psyched for this one.
Jay, do you know exactly when they will start racing your class? Also, can you tell us what tires you'll be running on this time?

our division wont start till about 9 930 racing under the lights is always cool and the tires we are runnin are the same from race 1 if aint broke dont fix it also my dad will be runnin this week in another class streetstocks he runs a pink and grey 55 chevy mike garris sr.
