Default CBRD project EVO MR news...

for those of you guys around... here is the current news on the evo..

block is currently out... being built to a 2.3 with the following mods:

2.4 liter forged crank
Venolia coated pistons, file to fit rings.... for those of you that arent familiar, these guys make john forces pistons..
Oliver billet connecting rods
apr main studs and head studs
ACL coated main and rod bearings
bottom tapped mains
balanced balance shafts, and new acl coated bearings
entire assembly balanced
etc etc..

1mm oversized intake and exhaust valves
new seals, guides etc...
dual springs with titanium retainers..
new lifters... etc. etc...

motor is rated for 1000 crank hp...

we will be using a gt35R for now.... should make 650whp on race fuel at 38psi or so....

then to a gt42R...

new wheels coming to replace the 19" volks... some 18x9.5's (brand not being mentioned yet with some new tires (thanks again to bridgestone)

probably some 14" stoptechs (custom made with our logo of course)..

new sponsors include:

Megan racing- gauges, coilovers
JAM

current sponsors:

Bridgestone
Stoptech
Kartboy
TurboXS
etc..

we will also be doing a new custom CBRD oil cooler (10x13") with our custom lines....

new custom CBRD 27x3.5x14" intecooler with new piping...

should be a fun car... ill start posting pics shortly

also...

swain coating on the header and o2 housing...will be thermal wrapping the upper intercooler pipe.

here are some pics during the removal and build









here is a custom ic setup we did recently on a wrx... shorter piping than normal wrx fmic, almost 6 feet shorter (couplers will be welded)
