I think there is some speculation about a v8, also i dont think they announced rwd or 4wd.

Carlos Goshn also announced that it WILL be under the Nissan nameplate, not infinity. Rumors of a VQ32DETT or a VQ35DETT, and even a VQ40DE V8 but they are strongly signaling it will most likely be the v6TT. It is also confirmed that the car will be running w/ the ATTESSA-ETS AWD system that the previous R32-34's had. Nissan Tried to keep the RB26DETT but that isnt happening, Japan just introduced new stricter emissions policies and nothing could make the engine compliant. So thats the reason why the RB26DETT and SR20DET are gone, why do you think Mitsubishi is ditching the 4G63 out of the EVO for a new 2.0T for the EVO X? Emission laws suck haha. This GTR will be as great as all previous GTR's, just because it isn't an I-6 doesnt mean it wont be nice anymore, It will be great. Oh, and if you ask anyone who knows me, they all know I am a huge Skyline enthusiast so this isnt coming from just another person, I love these cars to death...

Just read on freshalloy.com that inside sources say that the production engine in the new GTR will be a 3.7L V6 Twin Turbo making 450HP through a seven speed sequential transmition and getting to the ground through the ATESSA-ETS all-wheel drive system.
