Never cared about the Maxima... don't care now... never will. Diesel Maxima = stroker crank for old Z cars. That's all the good that ever came from them.

my fiancee has a Gen4 maxima. I hate it. She hates it. I'm still confused why she got it. I can't wait til that thing dies...she just needs to get a few more years out of it (unfortunately). My dad has a 2000 maxima and it's pretty quick, but it's a big, clumky car. not my style.

jetta tuner is on a roll TONIGHT, between this and the bmw1 post of his. as far as maximas, never driven one. too big for my taste, decent power, but i hear with all that power they have no control. they should replace it with a 4 door skyline. or not

The new Maxima is built on a similiar platform to the G35. It's not going anywhere anytime soon. I know this because Nissan is building 2 completely new assembly lines in the Symrna, TN plant. If they were dropping the car all-together, they would simply replace it's assembly line with one of the 2 new lines going in.
